Math/Stats had much to be proud of at today’s Commencement, with a record 70 math majors graduating. Professor Ed Burger got an honorary degree on his way to be President of Southwestern University. Student awards included an NSF graduate fellowship for James Wilcox and and a Herchel Smith Fellowship for Alec Greaves-Tunnell, as well as the many departmental prizes announced previously.
