Devadoss Wins National Teaching Award

satyan-devadoss-headshot-199x300WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass., August 12, 2015—Satyan Devadoss, professor of mathematics at Williams College, has been awarded the Deborah and Franklin Tepper Haimo Award for Distinguished Teaching of Mathematics, presented annually by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). He will receive the award at the Joint Mathematics Meeting in Seattle in January 2016.

Devadoss will be giving a Family Weekend talk (all welcome) on “The Shape of Nature: Bee, Tree, Origami,” 2-2:45 pm, Saturday October 24.

He was most lately featured in a Maclean’s article on chalk.
