The SMASAB (Student Math and Statistics Advisory Board) and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics would like to invite all the students interested in taking courses in Mathematics and Statistics during the Spring 2021 Semester to the advising event “Math/Stat Gelato Social”. Please find below the information about this event:
Who: all professors of the department and students (who are welcome to come and leave as necessary)
What: a “bring-your-own-gelato” social
When: Thursday, November 12 from 4:30-5:30pm
Where: on Zoom (https://williams.zoom.us/j/99686482388), with breakout rooms for the following groups of math professors — calculus, core (+ discrete), electives, senior seminars. The statistics professors will answer general questions about statistics courses, while questions about a specific stat course will be answered by the professor who is teaching it.
Why: to meet professors and to decide what courses to take in the spring semester and for the rest of time at Williams
